I currently serve as Co-Chair for the International Center for Information Ethics and Editor for the International Review of Information Ethics. I am the founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Freelance Netizen™ and committee member and annual participant of IEEE's Experts in Technology & Policy (ETAP) exploring Internet Governance (IG), data privacy and the Internet of Things (IoT). I am a peer reviewer for the Journal of Ethics and Information Technology and editor of the Festschrift: Information Cultures in the Digital Age.
My research looks towards the interdisciplinary connections between Information & Communication Technologies (ICTs) and information culture. I have written and spoken extensively on subjects of information ethics, privacy, open governance, intercultural communication and global citizenship in a digital era with a specific address of digital citizenship and the netizen. My research is currently being edited for publications forthcoming with McFarland & Company Inc. and with Confluence: Online Journal of World Philosophies.
I possess a range of experience writing and teaching emerging technologies & digital literacy classes, including designing and writing digital literacy programs for adult computer education. My academic consulting serves local and international academic communities, scholars and PhD students on subjects of philosophy and policy relating to ICTs. My career objective is to design and implement innovative pedagogical practices that support international and intercultural teaching in information policy and ethics where a focus on informed and responsible interactions with knowledge and information defines the curricula. My mission is to draw innovative methodologies out of traditional online university courses towards transforming internationally based online learning into inter-culturally based online learning.
