The Sustainable Development Law and Policy Brief (SDLP) is a legal publication at American University Washington College of Law. For the past 27 years, SDLP has been publishing legal analysis analyzing a broad range of environmental issues such as sustainable development, trade, renewable energy, environmental justice, air, water, noise regulation, climate change, land use, conservation, property rights, resource use, wildlife habitat preservation and animal protection.
SDLP publishes one fall issue and one spring issue every year both online and in print. Each issue contains in-depth practitioner pieces and student law review comments ranging from 20-30 pages on a number of shorter features giving overviews of timely legal issues in the environmental law field.
Interested in publishing your piece in SDLP? Email your submission to sdlp.wcl@gmail.com. The deadline to submit for our Fall 2024 issue is August 20, 2024. We are looking for pieces that are 20-30 pages in length with a strong legal argument on any environmental law or sustainable development topic.
