The UIC John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law(RIPL) is a Chicago-based law review comprising top students participating in the internationally recognized intellectual property, information technology, and privacy law programs at The UIC John Marshall Law School. Many RIPL students possess a technical background--with degrees ranging from a bachelor of science to Ph.D--and have experience in trade secret, patent, trademark, information technology, privacy, and copyright law. In the past decade, RIPL has experienced remarkable success, ranking as the 11th most cited technology law journal in the United States according to Google Scholar. The Washington and Lee Law Review Rankings recently ranked RIPL as the Number 3 journal for Intellectual Property law in the world for 2019. Indeed, RIPL has been cited as persuasive authority by the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and parties petitioning the United States Supreme Court for a writ of certiorari.
