Currently, I am a graduate student at the University of Connecticut studying archaeobotany under Dr. Alexia Smith. I am interested in looking at the emergence of complex socities through people's relationship with plants.
I graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 2006 with a BA in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology and the University of Chicago in 2008 with an MA in Social Sciences, concentration Anthropology.
I enjoy emulating famous artifacts in museums, crossing contentious borders (although only one has been crossed so far), and using my anthropological contacts as an excuse to travel to new countries.
My archaeological bias and interest is firmly rooted in the idea that all I need are people, walls, and plants to have a good time.
