The North Carolina Law Review is currently seeking approximately two articles for Volume 95. Manuscripts may be submitted on Scholastica or via email at nclrev_submissions@unc.edu. Due to the difficulty of student employment schedules, we can not expedite our review of articles except in exceptional circumstances.

We look forward to reviewing your submissions!

Are you looking for articles of a certain length? Subject matter?

We give preference to articles under 25,000 words in length—the equivalent of 50 law review pages—including text and footnotes. We do not publish articles exceeding 40,000 words—the equivalent of 75 to 80 law review pages—except in extraordinary circumstances. Additionally, we are not seeking essays for the remaining spaces. We have no firm subject matter preference and are eager to review your submissions.

I previously submitted and recently sent you an email attaching an approximately 18000 piece which bears the essay label.  I just saw in your response to a commenter that you are not seeking essays and hope that that label does not disqualify the piece from consideration.  Thank you.
