The Howard Law Journal is currently accepting submissions for Volume 64, Issue 2, to be published in early 2021.

We are particularly looking for articles regarding the legal issues of police brutality, police defunding and abolition, qualified immunity, and similar issues stemming from the systematic racism and discrimination plaguing our criminal justice system. Consistent with the mission of Howard Law School, the Journal is committed to promoting civil and human rights, and that commitment rings true now more than ever.

Submitted articles will preferably be 25-50 pages in length with footnotes following the form mandated by The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation.

Please email Katherine Sawczyn, Executive Solicitations & Submissions Editor, at hljexecutivesolicitations@gmail.com if you have any questions. Thank you for your interest and please keep us in mind for publication.
