The South Carolina Law Review (SCLR) welcomes article submissions for its Symposium 2020 issue, set to publish this Spring. Our journal seeks thoughtful, insightful, and original papers that address the broad range of issues related to “Human Trafficking and the Practice of Law.” For example, paper topics may focus on the effects of and legal avenues for combating human trafficking, the recent increase in identified human trafficking cases, sex trafficking versus labor trafficking, and the difficulties of identifying trafficking, to name a few.
We ask all interested authors to please submit a 500-word abstract to Taylor Voegel at tvoegel@email.sc.edu with the subject line “Human Trafficking and the Law” by October 30, 2019, for consideration. If selected, a final draft (about 10,000-20,000 words) will be due by Friday, January 3, 2020.
Interdisciplinary works are welcome from academic professors, legal practitioners, and any other professionals who work with human trafficking issues. We hope that you will consider our invitation, and please contact Taylor or me with any questions.
