Every year, as part of the Jame Baker Hughes Award, the Houston Journal of International Law selects and awards a student who has written a piece on international economic law. The Honorable Lynn N. Hughes of the Southern District of Texas conducts the reviews and selects a prize winner. That student is awarded $ 500 and published in the Journal’s print publication.

We expect Judge Hughes to make his selection for the James Baker Hughes Award by May 31st, 2018.

If you are a current student and would like to be considered for the award, please submit your article and a resume/CV by April 27, 2018.

Thank you for your consideration of our journal. We look forward to reading your submission.

Best,
