The Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy is pleased to announce its 2019-20 symposium topic. On November 1, 2019, the journal will host a variety of discussions focused on the Supreme Court’s decision in Olmstead v. L.C. ex rel. Zimring, 527 U.S. 581 (1999).
GJPLP is soliciting articles, notes, and speakers to present their written work. GJPLP is interested in reviewing articles and notes discussing the intersection of disability and criminal justice systems, affordable and accessible housing, and the work of home health care aides who support people with disabilities. However, broader topics that relate to disability, the lives of people with disabilities, and integrated community living are all of interest for the symposium.
Articles and notes should be submitted for consideration by September 20, 2019. GJPLP prefers articles not exceed 30,000 words and notes not exceed 15,000 words. Articles and notes should include an abstract and CV for all authors. Please submit any materials through Scholastica or please email the requested materials to: lawjplp@georgetown.edu.
Any submissions that are more broadly focused on issues of poverty law will be considered for Issue 3, which will be published in the Spring.
