The Columbia Science and Technology Law Review (STLR) is seeking submissions for our upcoming spring 2017 issue. STLR publishes articles on a wide variety of legal issues surrounding science and technology, including the Internet, intellectual property, biotechnology, energy, nanotechnology, and telecommunications.
STLR accepts both law review articles (between 7,000 and 20,000 words) and shorter commentaries (between 2,500 and 5,000 words), including footnotes and citations. Completed manuscripts will be considered for publication on a rolling basis until 5:00 PM EST on Friday, January 13, 2017. Submissions may address a number of current topics in science and technology, such as the Location-based Video Game Protection Act, otherwise known as Pidgey’s Law, Kuwait’s requirement that all citizens and visitors provide DNA samples to promote security, and the Ninth Circuit decision that exempts AT&T from enforcement action by the Federal Trade Commission. To reflect current issues and recent events in the interdisciplinary fields of science and technology law, we invite authors to draw upon their expertise and write on any subject relating to this topic that they find timely, interesting, and consequential.
