The Colorado Environmental Law Journal, formerly known as the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy, and Environmental Law Review, is accepting submissions for its spring issue. This issue will be dedicated to a specific topic. The topic is: the Future of Energy and the Just Transition Away From Fossil Fuels.
For this issue, we are accepting and encouraging the submission of shorter, essay-styled articles or other non-traditionally formatted articles. By encouraging the submission of non-traditional articles, our goal is to provide a platform for underrepresented voices, and others, to share their experiences and to incorporate their perspectives into solving the nation's most pressing environmental concerns.
We are primarily looking for submissions of up to 10,000 words in length. We will also accept longer, more traditional articles if they address the topic. Some example essays or articles include:
A Just Transition for Indigenous Communities
The Future of Domestic Climate Policy
Minerals Critical to our Energy Future: What they are and how we will get them
The Impact of state legislation promoting transmission expansion and other policies designed to boost renewable generation
If you are interested, please submit an abstract of 500 words or less by no later than September 12, 2021 to article celj@colorado.edu. First drafts will be due in early January.
