The Arizona Journal of Environmental Law & Policy (AJELP) is putting out an open call for submissions on a rolling basis for Fall 2018 publication. Our goal is to publish original articles on a range of environmental policy issues. AJELP is an interdisciplinary, online publication that examines environmental issues from legal, scientific, economic, and public policy perspectives. Our student-run journal publishes traditional “law review”-style articles, comments, and editorials with the intention of providing timely legal and policy updates of interest to the environmental community.

We are looking for publications focused on environmental issues and policy, specifically with the Southwest in mind. We welcome any and all perspectives, as long as the piece is focused on an environmental topic, and we encourage authors from any background to submit pieces: scientists, advocates, journalists, lawyers, academics, and policy-makers. Example topics include: Indigenous environmental rights, water law, mining law, climate adaptation policy, and many more! AJELP seeks to function as a home for thought-provoking discourse on environmental policy in Arizona and beyond.

Though there are no hard word or page limits, as we encourage many forms of thoughtful submissions. Style and citations, if necessary, are preferred in Bluebook format. A preference may be given to pieces focused on the Southwest, but we welcome national and internationally focused editorials as well.

Questions about submissions should be addressed to Senior Articles Editor Jennifer Wendel at: submissions@ajelp.com
