The Indiana Health Law Review (IHLR) invites submissions and speaker proposals for our upcoming symposium on "Mass Incarceration and Health Outcomes." This symposium seeks to explore the multifaceted impact of mass incarceration on the health of individuals and communities, including the challenges of providing healthcare to incarcerated populations and addressing the health needs of individuals reentering society.

Call for Papers and Speakers:
We are specifically calling for submissions related to the symposium topic for inclusion in the fall 2024 and spring 2025 issues. Manuscripts should range from 5,000 to 20,000 words, with most submissions around 12,000 words. Submissions should include a brief bio or CV, an abstract, and the manuscript, and can be made via Scholastica or by emailing ihlr@iu.edu.

We are also seeking expert speakers for our in-person symposium, scheduled for October 25th, 2024 at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. This event will bring together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss and share insights on the health implications of mass incarceration. It is an opportunity to engage with peers and contribute to a critical dialogue on this pressing issue.

For questions or to submit presentation proposals, please contact IHLR’s Symposium Editor, Caitlin Cummings, at cafcumm@iu.edu.

We look forward to your contributions and participation in making this symposium a meaningful and impactful event for the health law community.
