The UC Law Journal of Race & Economic Justice (JREJ) is still accepting manuscripts and student notes for publication in our forthcoming Winter 2023 issue (Vol. 21, No. 1).
We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics that pertain to social justice, racial equity and justice, the criminal justice system, or any pressing legal topics that concern communities of color and disadvantaged individuals. Interdisciplinary articles or notes that address topics in the nexus between the law and these issues are also welcome.
We strongly encourage practitioners in the field, authors of color, authors from diverse backgrounds, and those who have been system-impacted to submit their works for publication.
Beginning last spring and corresponding with the name change of our institution, the University of California College of Law San Francisco, JREJ has undergone rebranding and transition from the former Hastings Journal of Race & Poverty Law to the UC Law Journal of Race and Economic Justice.
In that spirit, JREJ has renewed our commitment to promoting dialogue and inspiring discourse on issues that lie at the forefront of race, economic inequality, social justice, and the law. In so doing, JREJ also hopes to especially promote scholarship conducted by underrepresented voices in both the legal profession and the academy.
